Chapter -01

I entered a ballroom buzzed with anticipation, chandeliers casting a golden glow over the crowd.

Guests whispered among themselves, eager to learn the identity of the new ceo.

I don't know who's the next CEO, Syed's and Baig's are business partners for, for many years now, here I'm the CEO of Syed Global Holdings, one to take this alliance on top.

I make my way to the bar counter as i reach there I sit on a bar stool and order a glass of whiskey.

I took a glass of gulping content inside in one go put the glass and just turned to bump into with a girl.

"What the hell" I cursed under my breath the glass of water she had spilled on me.

The next moment before I could see her face the lights got dim she turned to leave before she could go I held her wrist.

Come on! can I let her go, before she needs to apologize to me.

She slowly turned to face me my eyes met with her eyes Black vs brown her brown orbs shining under the moon, her eyes holding fire.

Before i could speak, a voice echoed through the hall. "Ladies and gentlemen," Mr.Baig the managing director Of "Baig ventures" began, standing on the stage, a microphone in hand. "Thank you all for coming tonight. It is my great pleasure to announce the new CEO, someone who has always been close to my heart."

She slowly takes out her hand from my hold and grabs a tissue from the bar counter placed on my chest just like hitting on my chest I take it, her expression unreadable.

Then, she turned and walked up to the stage, her head held high. The room fell silent as she took the microphone from Mr.Baig.

Before I can process the situation a spotlight illuminates the stage, their eyes drawn to the figure stepping into the light. She stood there, commanding attention in a black bodycon dress that hugged her curves perfectly, exuding both elegance and danger.

I couldn't look away, my breath catching in my throat as i took in the sight of her for the first time. Her beauty was striking, but there was something more-a fierce intensity in her eyes that made it impossible to forget her. She wasn't just beautiful; she was a force.

"I am honored to take on this role," she said, her voice ringing out clearly. "And I promise you all, this is just the beginning."

The crowd gasped, and murmurs spread like wildfire. I watched from below, shock and intrigue mixing in my eyes. She wasn't just some random guest-she was the new CEO.

For a moment, I was caught captivated in a way i hadn't been before.

The mic she gave back to Mr.Baig and once again he began " Introducing my one and only daughter Hazel baig, the CEO of Baig Ventures".

A big round of applause echoed in the ballroom.

"She is sooo.. hot." a man standing next to me said smirking.

The moment I heard it i grabbed him from the collar.

"Before you even thought about saying another word about her..." I lean slightly closer "remember who you're dealing with." Maintains eye contact "I don't just make threats; I make promises." I Slightly smirk "One more slip-up, and you'll find yourself six feet under. She's off-limits. Understand?" Tilts head slightly, voice firm the warning sink in, I released him.

I don't know why I said this but I meant each and every word.

I see her coming down from the stage I smrik looking at her You're mine Ms. CEO.

I'll make sure this to you and this world.

I stepped out from the stage and made my way towards the exit, my father called me from behind and I turned to face him .

"Where do you think you are going" He asked.

"My work has done, now I'm leaving" I replied.

"This party is for you and your work has not been done yet" he said in a strict tone.

I was ready to reply to him, but soon enough some one approached us from behind.

I look up to see him he is tall and his presence is commanding in a perfectly tailored black suit that fits him like a second skin.

He comes and stands next to me his gaze is lingering on me as he exchanges a respectful handshake with my father.

"Good evening, uncle. It's an honour to see you again" He said

"Ah... always a pleasure."

I shifted slightly, hoping to slip away unnoticed, but my father caught me.

"Wait, don't go just yet. There's someone important I want you to meet."

Reluctantly, I turn back, my expression guarded as my father begins the introduction.

"This is my daughter, soon to be the next CEO of our company." he said proudly.

I nod politely, avoiding his intense gaze.

"And this is Syed Elian Shah our business partner and CEO of his own family's company." gesturing to him.

He extend his hand, his smirk showing a hint of challenge.

"It's an honor to meet the next CEO." smiling.

I hesitate but shake his hand briefly, his grip firm, his expression cool.

"Likewise." I said politely.

As i release his hand, I steps back, hoping the conversation will end, but he leans in slightly, his tone confident."I have a feeling we'll be seeing a lot more of each other."

I met his gaze, "Only if it's necessary.", I narrowed my eyes slightly.

Someone called my father and he excuse himself leaving me alone with him. The tension hangs in the air between us.

He leans slightly and whispers into my ear

"Oh, I think it will be."

Now I'm least interested in this so I turned to take an exit without looking at him for once.

In the dimly lit corridor, the sound of the party fades in the background as I turn he grips my wrist suddenly, pulling me closer, his gaze intense.

"You can't just run off like that, CEO. The night's only just begun, and you're the guest of honor." firmly holding my wrist.

"I'm not interested in being the center of attention. Let me go. I have nothing to say to you." Pulling my wrist free.

He grips my wrist again and pulls me into a corner, away from prying eyes.

"You can't just walk away. You're mine now." Holding my wrist.

"Let go of me!" I try to pull away. I twist his hand, breaking free from his grip surprising him with my strength.

"Nice move. I didn't expect that." He said surprising.

I push him back slightly, trying to regain my space."I'm not yours to claim. I don't need anyone."

"I like that you're strong. Most wouldn't stand up to me." He smrik.

"Good. I'm not easily impressed." In a swift motion, I steps on his foot, causing him to hiss in surprise, but he quickly controls his reaction.

"You're bold." He said greeting his teeth.

I grins, a mix of confidence and mischief into me before turning to walk away."And you're just going to have to keep up." smriking over my shoulder. I walk away.
